You can go off road driving, mountain biking- we have a new 190 mile cycle route through the county- The Lakes and Dales Loop- clay pigeon shooting, road cycling, walking, climbing, sailing, kayaking…… several fell races, famous cycle races……. such as the annual Fred Whitton event in May that consists of a 112 mile sportive around the Lake District, taking in climbs of Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott and the Wrynose Passes

Keeping with the ultra crazy activities, in June our first Iron Man event The Lakesman or ultra running event such as the Lakeland 50 or Lakeland 100 and oh you can go wild water swimming if you so wish.

There is the odd lake or two and plenty of activity on and around the lake- sailing, kayaking, wild water swimming and just a sedate cruise

For the more sedate outdoor interest why to go with our local landscape photography Colin Reynolds and learn how to take That Shot using your digital camera
