River Deep Mountain High is a family run activities provider based in the South of the Lake District, providing high quality outdoor activities to individuals, couples, families and small or large groups. Our most popular activities include Gorge Walking, Canoeing, Abseiling, Archery, Rock climbing, Kayaking, Sailing and Biking.

If you are totally new to outdoor activities and want to do something new and exciting, without feeling out of your comfort zone, then try out our activities. You really enjoy the true Lake District by seeing it from up in the mountains, in the gorges or in a canoe from the lake. We aim for high quality and try to deliver this throughout. We have chosen equipment that makes for the most pleasurable ride. Our clothing is easy to put on, comfortable to wear when taking part in activities and we provide a yummy complimentary hot chocolate on all of our activity sessions.

You can book a half day and full day taster activity session, or you may choose to join our multi-activity weekends on your Lake District weekend break away at 1 Park Road. We also arrange Family Activity Holidays and all you need to do is choose how many activities you would each like to do during your stay. We will recommend suitable fun activities and organise your activity schedule to suit your family. We send out full kit lists and directions to activity locations.

Our prices are very competitive, with reduced prices for children 16 and under.
